David Ross Ph.D.

Background

David Ross has been helping individuals and organizations become more healthy and productive for 20 years. Since obtaining his PhD in Clinical Psychology in 1988 he has maintained a steady practice of clinical and consulting services. He also teaches organizational psychology, business development and creativity at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA.

David’s specialty is equipping leadership teams to have honest conversations about the dynamics that undermine productivity and morale. Specifically, he coaches people on how to confront others without creating defensiveness or power struggles. This enables teams to address conflict openly and use it productively for change. His core conviction is that people must embrace challenge and risk for personal and professional growth.

In addition to consulting with teams David also coaches individuals. His training in clinical psychology equips him to provide more than the standard goal setting and behavioral accountability offered by traditional executive coaches. He works with the underlying cognitive and relational patterns that foster or impede effective leadership.

From there his consulting practice expanded to family businesses, mental health organizations, and supervisory boards. In 1994 he began teaching Organizational Consultation at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena California. His course centers on leadership and management development and conflict resolution. He also teaches courses on business development and creativity.

In 2000 he consulted with the Salvation Army on a three-year project to transform their performance evaluation procedures to a state of the art collaborative system focused on professional development.

David joined the Table Group Consulting Partners in 2003. “Investing in teamwork and healthy communications seemed too distant to be directly related to our results. However, I am impressed by the communication tools our team has developed and there isn’t a day that passes where we don’t mention the day we spent with David and what we learned as team. And I am convinced that our work with him is directly related to our great results as a team thus far.”
